Many customers have a problem with correctly measuring the size of the globe they need. Diameter is calculated by measuring the circumference and dividing by 3.14. If you do not have an existing globe you can cut a string to the circumference you want the new globe to be, measure the string and then divide by 3.14. You also need to know whether the globe you need has a neck or a hole in the bottom. The globes with a neck fit down inside the fitter and are held in place with set screws, the globes with the holes (or openings) sit on the fitter and are held in place from the inside with a wing type attachment. We get many customers that order the wrong size or the wrong type opening, this is very costly for the customer as well as our company to handle the returns. Please be aware that quantities of the smaller globes can qualify for combined shipping, we will refund any overcharges for shipping that may occur.
