Many customers have a problem with corrctly measuring the size of the globe they need. Diameter is calculated by measuring the circumference and dividing by 3.14. If you do not have an existing globe you can cut a string to the circumference you want the new globe to be, measure the string and then divide by 3.14. You also need to know whether the globe you need has a neck or a hole in the bottom. The globes with a neck fit down inside the fitter and are held in place with set screws, the globes with the holes (or openings) sit on the fitter and are held in place from the inside with a wing type attactment. We get many customers that order the wrong size or the wrong type opening, this is very costly for the customer as well as our company to handle the returns.
