Globes are frosted acrylic, one piece injection blow molded, water and shatter resistant with UV inhibitors to help prevent yellowing. They are 23 inches tall, 15.15 inches in diameter with an 8 inch outside diameter solid flange. Please diagram.
Q:
I am interested in the 23" Frosted Acrylic Acorn Globe (Part # 88264-LD-8F). I would use it on an existing streetlamp fixture, which had the globe broken during a storm. Is there a need to have a ring-water-proof seal between the fixture and the globe to keep it watertight?

Hello Stephen,
No a rubber ring may help keep water out of the fixture, but it's not required.
